The River City Sacred Sistarhood is a collective of magical healers, mothers, and entrepreneurs based in Richmond, Virginia. Together, we harness our extensive years of study, practice and experience to offer transformative workshops, in-person healing journeys, and farm-to-table culinary experiences to nourish the mind, body, and spirit. Shayola “Shay” Binta, original to Brooklyn, NY, began her personal healing journey in 2010, and deepened her journey in the Spring of 2017. Since beginning this sacred healing journey, Shayola has become a certified Sacred Woman Practitioner, Womb Yoga Dance Practitioner and an Emerald Green Holistic Practitioner under the tutelage of Queen Afua. She is also the former Director of QAWI’s Emerald Green School. Shayola is also a certified doula and raw food chef. Her foremost passion is creating magical meals for herself and others, for she knows food determines your mood and healing begins in the heart. Shayola also received healing teachings directly from Queen Esther Sarr, Dr. Jewel Pookrum and Dr. Aris Latham.
This journey opened the way for her to receive the desires of her heart, by honoring with a protective husband and a child, a sun of Light!
